SKYDIVE JUMP PILOT POSITION

Fyrosity® Skydiving Center is looking for jump pilots to join our team.  The Jump Pilot position is your first step forward which provides an excellent opportunity for you to build hours and gain experience fast, while taking part of a fun and adventurous activity and jump starting your flying career.

 

WHAT IS A JUMP PILOT?

A Jump Pilot is a key team member of a skydiving operation or Drop Zone in charge of flying the skydiving aircraft.  The Jump Pilot is responsible for efficiently and safely taking the skydivers from to jump altitude with a specially modified aircraft to accommodate skydiving operations and take the aircraft safety back to the ground where other jumpers are already waiting to load the aircraft.  One full load with a C-182 from take off to landing  takes about 25 – 30 minutes.  This cycle continues non-stop throughout the work day. 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A JUMP PILOT

The Jump Pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the skydiving aircraft:
At the Start of the Day:
Pre-Flight Inspection, Fuel and Prep
During the work day:
Proper operation of the aircraft according to FAA and USPA recommendations and guidelines for skydiving operations FAR part 105, Fueling every 2 loads.
At the End of the Day:
Proper Cleaning of the aircraft, inside and outside, Prep for the next day, Securing the aircraft

THE IDEAL JUMP PILOT

Must have own LLC.

Must be legal to work in USA

Contractors need to be max 175lb. (due to aircraft W&B limits & flight efficiency). Applicants over 175lb please do not apply! The absolute ideal weight for a jump pilot for Fyrosity® operation and aircraft gross limits is 140lb – 150lb.  Must be reliable, honest, on-time, flexible, hard working, high tolerance for heat and cold, great physical and mental health, enthusiastic, passionate, have his/her own reliable transportation, team player, great communicator, great positive attitude, customer oriented, fantastic customer service skills, friendly, drama free, loves aviation, has the ability and desire to commit for at least 12 months, clean cut, drugs free and SAFETY FIRST mentality.

FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Min. FAA 2nd Class Medical
500 Hours Pilot In Command (PIC)
25 Hours in C-182 (jump configured – not passenger) 
50 Jump Flights (flown skydivers on 50 flights)
High Performance Endorsement
Complex Aircraft Endorsement
Must be legal to work in USA

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE 500 PIC / 25 HOURS IN C-182 (JUMP CONFIGURED) AND DO NOT HAVE 50 JUMP FLIGHTS, DON’T WORRY – WE CAN TRAIN YOU!

If you JUST got your CPL and you have MIN 190 + PIC flight hours, you have never flown jumpers, you do not have jump pilot training and/or do not meet the minimum listed requirements, please check out Jump Pilot Academy and sign up for jump pilot training.
